classic taco salad
Let’s taco about this salad. Simple, fresh, and can be covered in queso (if you want). This salad is a great option for an almost effortless lunch or dinner that will always please with its variety of combinations.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 lb ground sirloin
- 1 packet McCormick original taco seasoning
- 1 bag classic romaine
- 1 can (15oz) ranch-style beans, drained and lightly rinsed
- 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1 can (15oz) corn, drained
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 c thick-cut Mexican cheese
- Fritos
- Catalina dressing
- Queso (you can use pre-made queso or homemade queso)
Instructions:
- Cook and season ground sirloin in accordance with directions on the McCormick taco seasoning.
- Place romaine in large salad bowl. Top with your desired mix of toppings (ranch-style beans, tomatoes, corn, cilantro, Fritos, thick-cut cheese). Then toss with your choice of dressing (Catalina dressing and/or queso).
