mississippi pot roast

Ingredients:

  • 2.75 to 3.5 lb chuck roast
  • 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
  • 1 pack ranch dressing mix
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 pepperocini peppers (from a jar)

Instructions:

  1. Place roast in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch dressing mix on top of the roast. Add the butter and pepperoncini peppers on top of the seasoned roast. 
  2. Cook the seasoned roast on low for 8 hours. 
  3. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or white bread…or whatever sounds good to you.
