Tangy Roasted Chickpeas
Your favorite snack has arrived! These roasted chickpeas are the perfect combination of savory and tangy for an easy change-up from the popcorn, pretzel, cracker salty snack routine.
Ingredients:
- 2 cans (15.5oz) of chickpeas
- 1 lime
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- dash of cayenne
- salt + pepper
Instructions:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Remove chickpeas from the cans and strain all liquid.
- Place chickpeas in medium mixing bowl, squeeze lime juice (if it is a large lime, I would recommend using half of it) over chickpeas and add in olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne. Add salt + pepper to taste.
- Gently stir the chickpeas to fully coat in the seasoning.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and spread chickpeas on the sheet so that they are evenly spread, not overlapping.
- Roast chickpeas in the oven for 25 minutes (30 minutes if you like extra crispy).
