Tangy Roasted Chickpeas

 Your favorite snack has arrived! These roasted chickpeas are the perfect combination of savory and tangy for an easy change-up from the popcorn, pretzel, cracker salty snack routine. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (15.5oz) of chickpeas
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • dash of cayenne 
  • salt + pepper 

Instructions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. 
  2. Remove chickpeas from the cans and strain all liquid.
  3. Place chickpeas in medium mixing bowl, squeeze lime juice (if it is a large lime, I would recommend using half of it) over chickpeas and add in olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne. Add salt + pepper to taste. 
  4. Gently stir the chickpeas to fully coat in the seasoning. 
  5. Line a baking sheet with foil and spread chickpeas on the sheet so that they are evenly spread, not overlapping. 
  6. Roast chickpeas in the oven for 25 minutes (30 minutes if you like extra crispy).
